Scholarships for Performers

TCGC is proud to offer scholarships each competitive season to distinguished applicants who are active Senior or Collegiate level performers in the circuit. Applicants can choose to apply for our academic scholarships or our sponsored diversity, equity, and inclusion scholarships. 

​THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAVE ESTABLISHED THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION:

1. ​The recipient must be a senior in high school, or already attending a college/university (no trade or vocational schools will be accepted).
2. Each unit may only submit ONE nomination.
3. The recipient must be an active marching member of a TCGC member unit.
4. Scholarships granted will be according to the amounts provided for in the TCGC Constitution and Bylaws.
5. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee created and chaired by the TCGC Color Guard Vice President.

Scholarship nominees must upload the following information for their application to be considered complete:

• Transcripts (including an explanation of the scoring system i.e. 4 point scale)
• Two letters of recommendation from individuals other than unit director
• Completed  personal statement
• Completed certification page signed by applicant and unit director.

If an application is found to be missing any of the items listed above, the application will be considered incomplete and the nominee will forfeit their nomination for the TCGC Scholarship.

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on merit. The following criteria will be used by the TCGC Scholarship Committee to determine which nominees will be awarded a scholarship:

• Service and Participation in the pageantry activity
• Personal Statement Response
• Future Educational Goals
• Previous Academic Excellence
• Letters of Recommendation

This application will remain confidential. Any materials submitted become the property of the TCGC Scholarship Committee.
