Steele High School Band is seeking a dedicated and energetic Color Guard Technician to join our team beginning July 13 for summer band camp.
Our program serves over 250 band students, including a thriving 40+ member color guard, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about student growth, performance excellence, and building a strong team culture.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with instruction and rehearsal of the color guard during summer band camp and the fall marching season
* Teach fundamental and advanced skills including equipment, movement, and choreography
* Support design and cleaning of show work in collaboration with the director and staff
* Help foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive rehearsal environment
Schedule Expectations:
* Availability starting July 13 for summer band camp (preferred/strongly encouraged)
* Attendance at weekly rehearsals and select performances/competitions throughout the season
Qualifications:
* Prior color guard performance and/or instructional experience
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
Compensation:
Competitive pay, based on experience
